ABUCHIRA-GAMA

I went to ABUCHIRA-GAMA with friends by his car. ABURACHI-GAMA is one of limestone caves in Okinawa. At first, it was used as a military base. And then, it was used as a hospital and air-raid shelter. At the end, many of soldiers and citizens in it went out it. But those who were not able to move due to injury stayed in it. The former ones have no alternative but to leave the latter ones (friends) in it. The former never forget the fact and they always thought "Sorry, only we survived". And they also desided to tell how inhuman the war is and how precious the peace is to the next generation. Therefor, ABURACHI-GAMA is one of the most important and popular spot in terms of peace education. I re-realized that our peaceful life was based on a sacrifice of the previous generation.

Sefa-utaki

And then, we went to Sefa-utaki which is the world's cultural heritage in set with Shuri castle. In the glory of the Ryukyu Kingdom, it had been the most holy place and some spiritual ceremonies had been held in it. The following picture is Sangu-i (三庫理). It is a gateway that leads to the praying space.
