ラクロス部の同期が今期、幹部学年として、日本一を目指している。ホームページのSOULという所に彼らの、あるいは先代の幹部のあついメッセージがある。僕はそれを時々読むのだが、毎回、奮い立つ自分に気づく。もうやめてしまった組織なのに。ずっとラクロス部への尊敬の気持ちがある。それは、その組織が、そしてその中の人が素晴らしかったから。負けない気持ち、限界を超えること、仲間を信じること、信念を貫くこと・・・スポーツをする上で、そして社会に出てからも自分のバリューを出すのに必要な様々なことを教えてもらった。サンセットの主将として、組織やシステムの整備や構築、練習内容の充実や技術の体系化などは、成功したと思う。でも、スポーツを通じて伝えられる何か、についてみんなに伝えることが出来なかった部分がほとんどなのが現実だ。そこまでする技量が僕には足りなかった。サンセットが歴史を刻んでいって、いつか、そういったことを先輩から後輩へ伝えられるようになったら、最高に素敵なことだと思う。

My friends, who are leaders of Lacrosse club, are aimming for the No.1 in Japan.
Sometimes I read their or their senior's passionate messages on SOUL, which is one of the contents of their HP.
And I am always inspired by them....although I have already retired from it.
I can't help but respect them so much even now because the members and the organization itself were so respectable.
I was taught various and valuable thinking for not only sports but also work with high value.
For example never giving up, breaking througth, beleiving my members, carrying through my conviction and so on.
As a captain, maybe I have succeeded in constructing and adjusting of system of SUNSET-organization, refining menu of practice and systematizing knowledge of technique, but I couldn't convey tinkings like those.
I regred that I have not skill and time enough to teach those.
If seniors in SUNSET can convey those thinkings to juniors some day, how wonderful it is !
